FLG has spam rate thresholds in place that, if exceeded, will result in email sending being temporarily disabled on your account. These limits are in place to protect your email reputation.
If you do not have a good reputation tied to your domain and IP address, your email will not reach your recipients’ inboxes.
There are a number of best practices you can follow to help ensure you spam rate remains low:
- Make sure you include an unsubscribe link in all your emails. These are automatically added by FLG if missing when you send an email either by a bulk action or via a workflow or lead action
- Ensure your recipients have opted in to receive emails from you.
- Don’t purchase your mailing list or scrape websites for emails.
- Avoid using clickbait subject lines that your email content doesn't match.
- Test your messages for spam and design problems before you start sending.
Getting reports on spam & email tracking
Use the Email Delivery Summary Report in the reports area to see how many of your emails are being marked as spam. If you have email tracking switched on (Settings > Configuration > Email), you will also see statistics on opens, clicks, replies, etc.
You can set up alerts based on email tracking events by heading to Settings > Lead Groups > Lead Types > Edit. You can add actions for email related events, such as creating a task for the user when a recipient unsubscribes, or when a user clicks the 'spam' button. For more information see our article on Using Email Events.
